The Sun Is a Gardener
Days are gold when sun comes up
and shines into a buttercup,
and slips between the rows of corn
and where the lady's slipper's worn.
The sun is a gardener under the blue
shimmering beads of morning dew,
and tending to her new foxgloves
she finds a ray for mourning doves.
