The Blue Hour

The Blue Hour

from the start
you swallowed up whole rooms
of laughter

and running your fingers
through the blue light of morning
you opened and closed
doors

it was you in the boat
looking for her
that day
out where the waves slip
silver
into heaven

you never found her

eventually
you came back
to the vacant rooms
and roamed the corridors

they came one day
and with loving eyes
looked fondly at the plastered
curves in the ceiling
and stayed

they tinted the walls with blue
and green colored glass

outside
the sea melted
into sky

sounds
echo in the wall

but the hall is empty
