they tried

they tried

to fill me with electricity
but the stones wouldn't rise
half covered in grey caps
they sliced the sky
long strands of the silver moon
braided stars crossed the night
and I returned on a bed of wheels
heart scraping - stone slapping
white

And

And

in everything
that fell apart
you really broke
my heart

tigers and dragons
fight to
the end

this end
broken with
nothing left
 whole

riding the
straight car
the straight street
 alone

just two hearts
left
one space
in a soul

Airing Linen

Airing Linen

Wash and dry,
sort and fold:
you and I
are growing old.

A Murder of Crows

A Murder of Crows

in the evening
perched on branches
sharp and pointed
they decide your fate
pulling stars down
measuring your worth
washing your lies
with their black ragged
wings linking owls
to the moon
