My latest find. (I love wandering around in antique stores!) A print by The Berlin Photographic Company - 1880 - 1920. The artist is Frank Calderon. You can read more about the artist and see the original artwork:

A photogravure reproduction - is transferring the image of the artwork to a copper plate (etching). And then printing the image.

In a highway service station

Over the month of June

Was a photograph of the earth

Taken coming back from the moon

And you couldn’t see a city

On that marbled bowling ball

Or a forest or a highway

Or me here least of all

From the Road

 walking in from the road

the air changes 

in a single strand of light

it thickens ice on bark

a silver fog gathers

and shimmers 

like white silk  

against the evergreens

a dove sky disappears

into a squall 

and so do I
